Roehm America LLC (“Roehm”) regrets to inform you that as
as a result of Roehm’s inability to obtain raw materials necessary for
production, it has become impossible for Roehm to meet all or some
of the quantities of product currently deliverable to you. Accordingly,
Roehm must declare force majeure concerning its supply of Methyl
Methacrylate (MERACRYL MMA) and Methacrylic Acid
(MERACRYL GMAA), effective January 23, 2021.

Additionally, LG Chem announces a Plant Reactivation Delay. There was an emergency shutdown on their Acrylates Plant. This specific reactor produces: Ethyl Acrylate, Butil Acrylates and 2-Ethylhexyl Acrylate. This damage in the Acrylate line will result in further delay in deliveries or EA, BA and 2EHA products.

Arkema Inc. will increase the list and off-list selling prices of acrylic acid and acrylic esters in North America effective for shipments made on or after February 1, 2021 as set forth below, or as contracts permit.

Butyl Acrylate $0.16
Methyl Acrylate $0.16
Ethyl Acrylate $0.16
