LOOKING AHEAD TO A
GREEN FUTURE
GreenChem Industries is focused on the future for generations to come. We continuously look for
biobased, recycled and green alternatives to petrochemicals. Our goal is to seek more sustainable and
eco-friendly alternatives. As the technological capabilities expand we plan to continuously add to the
options available to our customers. Biobased and green chemicals are key components of a sustainable
future. These chemicals are derived from renewable resources, such as plants and microorganisms,
rather than petroleum, and have a lower impact on the environment. Biobased chemicals can be used in
a wide range of applications, from cosmetics to fuels, and offer an alternative to traditional
petroleum-based chemicals.
Green chemicals, on the other hand, are designed and produced with the environment in mind. They are
made using sustainable processes, minimizing waste and reducing the carbon footprint. They also often
have lower toxicity levels compared to traditional chemicals, making them safer for both people and the
planet. The use of biobased and green chemicals is essential for achieving a more sustainable future.
They offer an opportunity to transition away from petro-based chemicals and towards a more
environmentally friendly, closed-loop system. By choosing these alternatives, we can reduce greenhouse
gas emissions, conserve resources, and support the development of a more sustainable economy.

GREENOL®
Greenol is a colorless liquid with a mild odor. It is insoluble in water. It has a
flashpoint of 248°F and a boiling point of 491 °F, is exempted in California
Proposition 65 and is considered a non-HAP solvent.
Greenol, is most commonly used as Coalescing Agent in paints and coatings. It is
used in dispersion paints for optimizing the film formation process of the
polymeric binder particles. Most water-based paints and coatings use Greenol, it
is one of the most commonly used chemicals in water-based coatings. It is
absorbed by the emulsion particles, softening them and causing better fusion.
Greenol, also provides scrub resistance, color development, package stability, and
freeze-thaw stability. Other applications include baking enamels, coil coatings,
cosmetics, floor polish, water-based inks, plasticizers, and wood preservatives.
