Dow Butanol, Butac, IPA & Others Getting Price Increases on February 1

Another announcement from Dow has indicated that more price increases are on the way for their oxygenated solvents. Effective February 1, 2017, Dow Butanol, Butac, IPA and many others will see a price increase of upwards of $0.07 per pound price increase. This increase will be applied to all of the following materials:

2-Ethylhexoic Acid, up by $0.07 per pound
Butanol, up by $0.07 per pound
Isobutanol, up by $0.07 per pound
2-Ethylhexanol, up by $0.07 per pound
MIBK, all grades, up by $0.05 per pound
Butac, up by $0.05 per pound
Isobutyl Acetate, up by $0.05 per pound
Isopropyl Acetate, up by $0.05 per pound
Isopropanol (IPA), all grades, $0.07 per pound
