Diisodecyl Phthalate or DIDP is a clear, colorless, liquid with mild odor.
Is a commonly used plasticizer used in the production of plastic and plasticcoating to increase flexibility. This material is synthesized through the esterification of phthalic and isomeric decyl alcohols. DIDP has favorable characteristics such as volatility resistance, heat stability and electric insulation. This product is also used to soften Polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Other non-plastic application include anti-corrosion/anti-fouling paints and textile inks.
