DESCRIPTION
Glycol Ether PMA is a colorless, low-toxicity liquid with a faint ester odor. It provides excellent solvency for various resins, including acrylics, nitrocellulose, and urethanes. Its low viscosity and the presence of an acetate group make it an effective solvent for high-solids systems and proton-sensitive materials. PMA is commonly used in the paint industry as a coupling agent, flow enhancer, and solvent for coatings and inks. It also serves as a retarding solvent in varnishes, thinners, and baking enamels. In addition to its role in paints and coatings, PMA is employed in 3D printing, where it adjusts drying time and viscosity, and as a cleaning agent for both petroleum-based and water-based products. It is used in cosmetics as a solvent in nail polishes, providing thickening and stabilization. In electronics, PMA is a solvent for semiconductor adhesives, and in construction, it functions as a solvent, binder, and drying regulator in various construction chemicals.
