BASF Alcohols To Feel Price Increase

The fall months for 2016 are expected to be some of the most active in recent memory. New reports indicate additional increases on BASF alcohols beginning on September 1.

BASF Alcohols Price Increase

This price increase will apply to BASF’s n-Butyl Alcohol, Iso-Butyl Alcohol, and 2-Ethylhexyl Alcohol materials, and will be effective for all of North America. Each product will be going up in price by approximately $0.05 per pound.

Fall 2016 is looking to raise the volume after a relatively quiet summer. More and more reports are coming in regarding price increases. As such, GreenChem is advising everyone to attentive and deliberate about their inventory management and purchasing goals over the next few weeks.
